CHRISTMAS GREETING

Richard Foster writes in his book A Celebration of Discipline that celebration is, itself, a discipline – a regular and necessary part of the Christian walk. At Christmas time we have the greatest cause for celebration – God Himself came down to humanity to live among us and redeem us.
“Sing for joy, you heavens, for the LORD has done this; shout aloud, you earth beneath. Burst into song, you mountains, you forests and all your trees, for the LORD has redeemed Jacob, he displays his glory in Israel.” Isaiah 44:23 (NIV)
“Though the mountains may be removed and the hills may be shaken, My loving devotion will not depart from you, and My covenant of peace will not be broken,” says the LORD, who has compassion on you.” Isaiah 54:10 (NIV)
God is still revealing himself to humanity, and is reaching to the ends of the earth. Let us celebrate Christmas and the message of the covenant of peace brought by Christ!
