Aviation & Technology
Once we have identified unreached people groups that are living in isolation, we look for possible solutions that will bridge the gap of isolation in order to share the Gospel with these people. We take time to listen to different missionaries and organisations that are working in the specific areas we identified. As they are experts in the field, we know that they have valuable feedback in regards to the specific needs in the region.
At Hope From Above Inc. we take an out-of-the-box approach to learn what aviation or technology solution could bridge the gap. There is a vast variety of tools we can draw on, such as the use of balloons, light/experimental aircraft, unmanned aerial vehicles, fixed wing aircraft or helicopters. It is important for us to evaluate what solution could be arranged safely and reliably. For example, could we charter a helicopter from say a local oil company to transport missionaries, or operate a drone for aerial photography to locate nomadic tribes?
We recognise that the cost of aviation and technology is high. However after Christ gave his life so we may have eternal life, we believe every expense is justified in cases where we cannot find a ‘better’ alternative solution to help reach these people.
